"The Beastmasters of the Dark Elves are creatures of unspeakable evil. They twist the pure beasts of the forests into warped creatures that live for nothing but killing.

"Some of their 'pets', like the Manticore, have always had a predilection for such behavior. I doubt much that the Dark Elves had to do anything at all to sway such beasts to their cause. The mere promise of bloodshed and the ability to sow terror was likely encouragement enough to draw the Manticores into the fold."
