Rallying Cry

Many of Eataine's noble houses have already reported in to join the fight, yet three still remain unaccounted for. As we prepare to make our way to the Isle of the Dead, we require all who are able to serve to be at the ready.

Lords Windseer, Lightbow, and Cloudbreaker are among the most honored of my people in these lands, and their loss would be quite a blow. Our enemies are aware of this, <name>, and it is likely that these noble warriors have come under their assault. We must aid them!

Particulars

Finding The Uthorin Despoiler

This appears to be one of those quests which may have been originally intended for a group, or else, it was only solo-playtested with some sort of tank character who could soak a lot of damage. I play a High Elf Shadow Warrior, and I found this quest brutal.

The Uthorin Despoiler is actually /inside/ the tower surrounded by the various Dark Elves. You have to click on the doorway to enter, which means you'll have to do some fighting to get inside. I found the best approach was to come in from the right side (relative to the tower door), to take out the two patrolling Scavengers, and then to bait the Pillager in front of the door to follow me using an arrow-shot, so that I could battle him singly, out of the notice of the rest -- especially the champion-level lizard rider!

The problem is, once you do get inside the tower, the Despoiler is in there with at least /four/ pillager bodyguards. None of the enemies is all that tough alone (all equal-level white when I played; the Pillagers were 32s, and the Despoiler a 33), but it's the swarming that can kill you quick.

It's possible not to aggro all the Pillagers inside the room, but the Despoiler (who stands just left of the entrance, behind a table) would /not/ be drawn outside, when I played.

As soon as you leave the doorway, or the door itself closes between the two of you, the Despoiler is no longer a combat target.

Since the Dark Elves outside the tower are constantly respawning, I ended up stepping just inside the tower door -- no further than I could help -- and I focused all my attacks directly on the Uthorin Despoiler. At least one of the Pillagers inside the tower aggroed and attacked my flank, but I ignored everything except defeating the Despoiler.

I ended up dying inside the tower, but not before my target went down. The quest auto-conpletes as soon as the Uthorin Despoiler dies, and the orders he carries are automatically added to your quest inventory.

Good luck, and boo to Mythic for making this seem like a solo quest, when it certainly doesn't play like one!
